Identify the correct Japanese export record
Japan Customs explains that an owner of a registered vehicle intended for export must obtain registration-deletion evidence, while a vehicle whose registration was already deleted requires notice of planned export. The official guidance states that the relevant certificates are presented for customs confirmation and are valid for six months from issue.
Translate the record accurately and compare chassis number, owner or exporter, issue date and validity with the car and later shipping evidence. Do not substitute an auction sheet or commercial certificate for the government export step.
- Registration Deletion certificate or Notice of Planned Export certificate
- Export declaration, invoice and customs confirmation
- Auction sheet, auction house and lot reference where applicable
- Chassis number conversion or VIN mapping documented without ambiguity
- Mileage sequence across inspection, auction, export and current odometer
- Bill of lading, UAE customs and registration trail
Treat auction sheets as evidence that needs verification
Ask for the original auction reference and a translation that preserves condition codes and remarks. Compare auction photographs and mileage with later repairs and inspection. A recreated sheet without a verifiable auction source should be marked unverified.
Japan Customs also describes export declarations and invoices as part of vehicle export clearance. The chronology should show that the specific vehicle moved from its Japanese registration status through export and shipment to the UAE.
Inspect specification and repair quality locally
Confirm steering configuration, lighting, emissions-related equipment, restraints, parts support and insurance acceptability for the intended UAE use. Registration eligibility and physical condition should be confirmed through current official and professional channels.
